chris and i were planning our honeymoon before we even started planning our wedding, we were just that excited. we found killer flights to hawaii and purchased the tickets right away, done and done. or so we thought… a month later the airlines sent us an email saying the flight we were scheduled on had been canceled and we could rebook but none of the other dates worked with our school and work schedules. so hawaii was out! no big deal, we would go to cabo! we switched our flights and hotels and were on our way to MEXICO (we even made sure to get chris a passport)… just weeks before our honeymoon chris comes over to my house and asks me if i had seen the news, i had not. he informed me that cabo, mexico had been hit by a hurricane and was in shambles… ahh! i quickly called delta and franticly asked if we could switch our flight once again. they were so nice about it and switched it all for us at no extra cost, we were now on our way to … ST. THOMAS, which was a win after all.
the color of the water was amazing, and the temperature was around 80 degrees!
we had to get little souvenirs to remind us of our trip…
i then fell in love with these strawberry daiquiris – i always got funny looks when i asked multiple times if they were virgin before i took a sip.
charlotte amalie – st. thomas
this was the largest city in st thomas, and it was still really small
